About the project

College-trained sculptor Zlatko Zlatić donated 166 small scale sculptures in marble, bronze, granite and wood to the town of Zagreb. Sculptures represent animals and were created between 1975 and 2005. The permanent exhibition of the Donation is housed by Zagreb Zoo which refurbished its former boiler house. The space was designed and the exhibition devised by Mario Beusan.

Zagreb Zoo is the natural choice for the exhibition with its variety of flora and fauna and the Collection brings additional value to it – the artistic interpretation of animal kingdom, the educational component for the visitors and an aesthetic impression. The Donation will be run by Glyptotheque, in cooperation with The City Office for Education, Culture and Sport and Zagreb Zoo.
