Zlatko Zlatić was born on August 12, 1933. He comes from a long line of prominent figures in culture, science, education and public life. He showed an early interest in art which was recognised by his father Slavko, a renowned Croatian composer, musicologist and conductor. In 1966 he took a degree in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb under the mentorship of professor Vanja Radauš.
He has had solo exhibitions in Zagreb, Pula, Labin, Kumrovec, Pazin, Grožnjan, Rijeka, Krapina, Sisak, Karlovac and Virovitica. He has participated in more than 200 group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad and numerous sculpture symposiums and workshops. His artwork is on display in a number of museums and private collections in Croatia and abroad.
Some of his large scale animal sculptures can be seen in public places: A Tortoise (Labin, Dubrova Park), Storks (Pula, City Hospital), Grasshopper-Keel (Krapina), Puppies (Zagreb, Children's Centre Vrapče), Pigeons (Zagreb, Vrapče Park), A Dog (Zagreb, primary school Grof Janko Drašković), Zgurići (Sisak, Park), Pigeons (Zagreb, Biškupić Collection).
